Services What I offer you:
- A guided tour on the pristine coastal beaches for a view of the rugged coastline, marine wildlife environment, and birds (particularly my favorite, the eagles) that occupy the “Quinault Coast” as their homeland*. This includes: (1) a driving tour of our southern, Pt. Grenville area (the Tribe's commercial clam bed areas), (2) a walking tour of the mouth of the Quinault River to view the river meeting the ocean, (3) a walking tour via wooded, coastal trails of the northern (north of Taholah - Cape Elizabeth, Tunnel Island, Elephant Rock, Hogsbacks, and Split Rock) portions of the Reservation's beaches.
- A lower Quinault River tour in my 16 ft. dory, that gives a glimps of what it could have been like years ago for Quinault's to paddle this same river in their cedar dugout canoes. I also provide a prospective of today's commercial fishing activities on the river by Quinault fishermen who catch and sell their fish to the Tribe's own, seafood exchange, located in Taholah.
- A stopover at my cabin, located in Taholah, overlooking the Quinault River and the opportunity to meet and observe Quinault fishermen who are found working at their commercial sites. A sample of their catch, canned by our own, Tribal Enterprise, will also be provided for your enjoyment.
* What you should bring along/wear for your better comfort and enjoyment: Hiking shoes, extra pair socks, gloves, warm clothes (sweater, etc), poncho, hat, sunglasses, camera, binoculars, a backpack containing bottled water, energy/candy bars, and other personal needs, etc.
My Price: $15 Hr. Per Person or $25 per couple
(I also can arrange to do pickups and returns at the Tribe's, designated resort in Ocean Shores , or at any other location near the Reservation's boundary). Again, thank you for visiting my site, and I hope for the opportunity to meet or talk to you someday real soon! Fred |
